Prognosis IEA and Energy Watch Group
The prognosis of the Energy Watch Group from autumn 2007 about the decrease of oil production is wastepaper. The new IEA data from August 2009 are much harder.
The accident is not to avoid
Imagine You are speeding with 150km/h through dense fog and 50m in front of You becomes a pile up visible. The braking distance is much longer, an accident is unavoidable, all what can be done is to cause as less damage as possible.
The omissions from 1973 - first oil crisis - until 2009 are not to catch up.
The 35 complete irresponisble wasted years can not be cought up in 5 years.
Oil prognosis in the change of time
Autumn 2007, the Energy Watch Group publishes a prognosis about drastic decreasing oil production, total different to the "make no sorrows" IEA prognosis.
Aprol 2008, the IEA declares the own prognosis for wastepaper and warns "" We have to leave the oil before the oil leaves us".
The oil production will decrease by 3,7 to 4,2% per year. This was more decrease than in the Energy Watch Group prognosis autumn 2007.
This prognosis caused the PEGE study " Replace crude oil by electric power". It was clear, only extreme measures can secure a continues energy supply.
New data from IEA August 2009
The oil wells dry up in record speed. For this year not 3,7 but 6,7% loose in production. The IEA warned February 28th 2009 only from extreme oil prices around $200, now it's about delivery problems in 2013.
Peak-oil pricked all economy bubbles and created the first fossil recession. The fossil propulsion of cars is at the end, but some governments do not want to recognise this.
