VW Martin Winterkorn and the electric carGuessing game about an interview with Dr. Martin Winterkorn. Is it his intention to dicredit the electric car by mentioning nuclear energy, or does he really not knwo the facts?
Just last week, we published, that by making electric power from gasoline and Diesel in CCPP, the German fuel consumption from 2004 would produce 358 TWh. 230 TWh more than a complete change to electric mobility would require. The largest possible CO2 reduction would be to stop 230 TWh yearly electric power production from coal power plants. This creates an absurd proportion of numbers. From 162 Mt CO2 in German street traffic can be 230 Mt saved.
2007 had been 162 TWh nuclear electric power produced in Germany. 128 TWh for electric mobility and 162 TWh nuclear energy are 290 TWh. From the gasoline and Diesel consumption of 2004 can be 358 TWh produced. So 19% less gasoline and Diesel than the consumption of 2004 are necessary for electric mobility and to save all atomic power plants in Germany.
For our mobility is a photovoltaic in the size of a parking lot enough. Environment destruction by uran mining, the risk of an accident and the radiant inheritance for our descendants are here complete unnecessary. |
