The 48 kW electric motor takes his top power from these condensers.
  • Acceleration: Condensers and fuel cell deliver electric power to the engine
  • Braking: Electric motor as a generator and the fuel cell deliver to the condensers electric power
  • Narrow curve: Fuel cell delivers to the electric motor and condensers electric power
Because of the condensers, the 48 kW electric engine gets along with the 8 kW fuel cell at a kart race. The average output is only 1/6 of the top output. Brake manoeuvres flow in as a negative power requirement onto the calculation.
